In collaboration with Berkeley Science Bowl, we are excited to invite students across the nation to Rice University’s first ever Science Bowl Invitational competition!

About Us

Rice University Science Bowl (RUSB) is a student-run organization that is dedicated to promoting a passion for STEM education in middle and high school students via the National Science Bowl (NSB) competition.

RUSB fosters STEM interest through 2 primary initiatives:

1. Hosting Rice University’s first ever invitational Science Bowl competition for teams across the nation

2. Supporting local middle and high schools through hands-on STEM outreach and volunteering

National Science Bowl (NSB) is a fast-paced team buzzer competition that tests middle and high school students in 6 STEM subjects:

  • Biology

  • Chemistry

  • Physics

  • Math

  • Energy

  • Earth & space science
